The Family Advocacy & Community Education (FACE) Center is hosting a peer parent support group for parents or family members of children and adults with developmental disabilities. 

The group offers:

  • Caring community support co-led by parents and a trained facilitator
  • A place to vent your parenting stress
  • Support from other parents who understand what you’re going through
  • A place to share information, ideas and resources

This course will provide detailed information regarding special education law. The presenter will assist parents and professionals with understand the basic tenants of the major special education laws. Participants will review the essential steps for TEAM meetings, as well as the special education process as outlined in Massachusetts state law. The workshop flier is attached to this blog post.
