Follow the Leaders

On Saturday, April 24th, YOUth VOICE will host a leadership training from 10:00 - 2:30 at CD Recreation. YOUth VOICE (Volunteer Organizations to Increase Community Engagement) is a super group comprised of representatives from several youth leadership groups including Team FRESH, Peaceful Coalition, TADA, Making Proud Choices and YouthBuild. Their mission is to connect the different groups to each other, provide leadership training, and offer an opportunity to share information, increase civic engagement and work collaboratively to develop a youth action plan for the City of Fall River.  As part of April 24^th’s training,  the day will also involve the completion of several community service projects, including  preparing peace poles and community gardens, painting peace poles, and decorating the Chill Zone. For more information on YOUth VOICE, check out the Fall River Youth Zone website or call CD REC at 508-679-0922 to find out how you can get involved this Saturday!
