Kick Off to Summer Celebration Draws Near

Saint Vincent’s 3^rd Annual Kick Off To Summer Celebration will be here before you know it. The event will take place on Friday, June 24th from 6PM to 11PM on the deck of the Battleship Massachusetts in Fall River.  Sponsored by Mechanics Cooperative Bank, the Summer Celebration is back by popular demand and includes complimentary beer and wine, cash bar, gourmet food stations, silent and live auctions as well as music and dancing to the World Premier Band.  Expected to draw over 300 guests, proceeds from the Kick Off To Summer Celebration will directly benefit the youth in Saint Vincent’s Life Skills Program who are transitioning to independent living and young adulthood.

Gourmet food stations prepared by local community partners include a clam and oyster raw bar by Cuttyhunk Shellfish Farms, Blount Fine Foods clam chowder and summer corn chowder, beef tenderloin by Lafrance Hospitality, lasagna by Ma Raffa’s, Mario’s Lebanese Bakery meat and spinach pies, paella by Mesa 21, TA Restaurant pork & potatoes, Trio Café & Lounge lemon pepper chicken, as well as sushi and pan seared scallops prepared by the Waterfront Grille of New Bedford.  MS Catering is serving peach flambé and coffee, and cupcakes will be provided by Stop & Shop Bakery.  Domestic and imported beers will be available, compliments of Quality Beverage, as well as local wines produced by wineries along the Coastal Wine Trail of Southeastern New England. Silent and Live Auction items include an exclusive one-week stay in Las Vegas with roundtrip airfare for two from Southwest Airlines, golf, destination packages to Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard as well as jewelry, wine tastings, autographed sports memorabilia, and Red Sox tickets.
