The Children's Advocacy Center of Bristol County (CAC) is a child focused agency that provides services and support to child victims of abuse and their families. The CAC is currently seeking a part-time Mental Health/Service Coordinator to join the multidiscipinary team. This is a 20hr/week position with a flexible schedule. Definition: Responsible for the coordination of services to children and families served by the CAC, especially connections to the appropriate mental health services and other community based services to assist with addressing symptoms of trauma. Coordinate other services for families as needed. Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team related to the interventions and investigations of allegations of child abuse.

Manage referrals for mental health and other community based services for referred cases.
Assist with any and all calls to the agency from the community and provide information to callers as needed.
Maintain contact with families and partner agencies related to referrals and other community services arranged on behalf of children and non offending care givers.
Oversee mental health capacity building projects with other CAC and partner agency staff.
Attend and participate in state wide mental health subcommittee meetings as scheduled by MACA (state chapter).
Assist children and families regarding the services of the CAC; including but not limited to families, team members and partner agencies, as needed.
Ensure accurate tracking and charting of all referred cases
Assist with overall CAC function as needed related to case coordination, case management and follow up for children and families.
Assist with agency functions related to operations and service delivery.
Assist with agency grant writing, fundraising and other documentation and statistical requirements as needed.

Job Environment: Work is performed within the context of a multidisciplinary team in a child friendly office setting. Some travel to meetings, satellite locations and other events required.

Supervision: Supervision provided by the Executive Director.

Education and minimum qualifications: Minimum of Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field, plus a working knowledge of the state child abuse response system (DCF, law enforcement, community service agencies etc). Must be able to work within a multidisciplinary team setting. Good organizational, communication and networking skills a plus. Must be proficient with computer skills. Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred.
