Join Saint Vincent’s for the 2nd Annual Kick-Off To Summer Celebration on Friday, June 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the deck of the Battleship Massachusetts for a successful charitable fundraiser benefiting youth in the Life Skills Program who are transitioning to independent living and young adulthood. The evening celebration, expected to draw over 250 people, is back by popular demand thanks to Presenting Sponsor, Mechanics Cooperative Bank. “The Summer Celebration is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and promises to once again be a fun and festive celebration – fine food, great company, and good music, all overlooking Fall River’s waterfront,” said Deborah A. Grimes, Summer Celebration Chairperson and Sr. VP Retail Banking/HR Director for Mechanics Cooperative Bank. “I hope everyone will join us as we celebrate the start of the summer season and the valuable work Saint Vincent’s does to give children and families in need what they need most in our community.”
The “un-official” start of the summer will feature complimentary beer and wine provided by Quality Beverage and Running Brook Vineyard & Winery, a clam and oyster raw bar provided by Seth and Dorothy Garfield of Cuttyhunk Shellfish Farms, Inc., featuring Cuttyhunk Oysters® and Cuttyhunk Clams, and additional hors d’oeuvres provided by BCC Department of Culinary Arts. A gourmet dinner will feature beef tenderloin by Lafrance Hospitality Company, lasagna by Ma Raffa’s, paella by Mesa 21, Trio penne and lemon pepper chicken piccata by Trio Café and Lounge, and pan seared

sea scallops and mixed summer sushi by the Waterfront Grille in New Bedford. A dessert station will include coffee by Green Mountain Coffee and pastries from Cinderella Bakery, Diman Tea Room, and Sysco Foods.
Citizens-Union Savings Bank is the Entertainment Sponsor. Live music and dancing to the Compaq Big Band begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by both silent and live auctions with celebrity emcee, Billy Costa, host of NECN’s TV Diner.
