Fall River Youth Court
Fall River Youth Court is a peer driven court. All the roles in our courtroom are volunteers from the area Middle and High Schools. High school students are trained to be the attorneys and bailiff in the courtroom. The jury is made up of volunteer students between the ages of 12 and 18. It is a real courtroom, with real cases. The sanctions are binding and if the respondents do not complete the sanctions they are processed through traditional juvenile court. If you are interested in volunteering for Fall River Youth Court, please email either Terri Belliveau at tswans5@aol.com or Nina Sousa at newbedford1986@yahoo.com .
