Title: Nutrition Educator I/Clerk IV

Salary: $16.06/hr

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (paid bi-weekly)

UMass Extension Nutrition Education program is looking for two part-time nutrition educators to assist with the implementaion, coordination and evaluation of the Family Nutrition Program serving Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton.

  • Implement education program activities as planned for the 2010 project year.
  • Collect data to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Assist other staff in collaborative programming
  • Assist in overall program management in communicating program needs and collection of program documentation
  • Represent UMass Extension at the local level with community groups in the areas of nutrition, health promotion and disease prevention
  • Participate in FNP team and staff meetings.

Qualifications required at hire:

  • Bachelor degree in nutrition, health or education related field
  • Experience with computers
  • Excellent interpersonal and group process skills
  • Ability to maintain a diverse schedule of local, regional and statewide activity which is not restricted by access to public or private transportation.
