GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the Department of Community Services, as the fiscal agent for Community Connections Coalition/United Neighbors of Fall River, the director is responsible for the general administration, oversight and day-to-day operations of the Community Connections Coalition/United Neighbors of Fall River and its various programs and activities which are all aimed at strengthening the community-based system of care for families and children. The director reports to and is guided and supported by a representative board.
SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL ALSO INCLUDE:
• select, supervise and evaluate CCC/UNFR’s staff and volunteers
• prepare and manage annual operating budgets
• meet regularly with the Coalition’s leadership, staff, sub-committees and community partners to facilitate strategic planning as well as develop, implement and administer CCC/UNFR’s various programs and activities
• over-see all grant-writing, fundraising, recordkeeping, marketing and developmental efforts
• develop community-based partnerships to enhance CCC/UNFR’s mission
• ensure compliance with all state and local laws and programmatic funding regulations
• serve as spokesperson for the Coalition and liaison the Department of Children and Families as well as other funding sources and participate in regional and state forums, as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
• demonstrated supervisory experience
• extensive experience in community organizing
• demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong community partnerships
• extensive experience in administration and state contract regulations
• well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• ability to work effectively with diverse populations and groups
• familiarity with family-centered, strength-based child welfare practice is desirable
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Five year’s program management experience required. Knowledge of statewide and local human services delivery system is necessary.
