You can make a difference this Holiday Season by joining our gift card appeal using holiday get-togethers or "gatherings" over the next couple of months to collect Gift Cards for our families in need. Gift Cards to Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Target or Walmart will enable families to purchase the extra items that they need for their own holiday meals, as well as to purchase gifts for children and teens who might otherwise go without this year.
The idea is simple: any place people gather - book clubs, bowling leagues, workplace and personal parties - we ask that the "price of admission" be a gift card for our clients. No more wandering around the liquor store wondering, "Let me see, are they white wine or red wine people?" Bring a gift card as a hostess gift or in lieu of a grab to be donated to The Women's Center.
It's easy to participate: whenever you shop you can pick up a gift card at check-out in anticipation of the next gathering that you will be attending or hosting. Get your friends and co-workers to do this, too. Let's bring back the real meaning of the season this year and Gather to Give!
