Bristol Community College - Healthcare Training

Get Started in a Career in Healthcare! Bristol Community College, in partnership with the Bristol and New Bedford One Stop Career Centers, is now accepting applications for our FREE Healthcare TRAINing Program. Participants will receive nurse assistant/home health aide training, job skills training, and may be eligible to earn college credits.

You could be on the job in as little as 12 weeks! Successful completion of this course provides: a Nurse Assistant Certificate, Home Health Aide Certificate and BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR Certification. Additionally, completion of this course allows you to take the Massachusetts NAT Certification exam. Students will also receive on-the-job training and job placement assistance with employers throughout the region.

Upcoming 2017 Training Sessions Begin: January 9 February 7 March 9 Candidates must meet eligibility requirements and currently be unemployed (out of work for at least 26 weeks), OR underemployed (make less money than you need, cannot get full-time work or employed temporarily). Do you know someone who may be interested in joining an outstanding group for 6 months of service? 
 
Serving as an SCI AmeriCorps member with Social Capital Inc is an opportunity to use your energy, ideals, and talents to help others. Plus, members earn money for education, learn to be a leader, and gain real job skills!  SCI places AmeriCorps members at various host sites across Eastern Massachusetts, where they build social capital in the communities they serve through civic engagement opportunities. 
 
The SCI AmeriCorps program supports youth success by increasing volunteerism and providing leadership training and community service opportunities for youth. Members implement volunteer outreach and capacity building activities that increase volunteer participation, and provide leadership training and community service opportunities for youth.  Members are divided into two teams, Youth Leadership Coordinators and Volunteer Outreach Coordinators, and serve 900 hours from mid-January through June.
